Key Responsibilities:

The Manager – Global Sponsorships will support the company's partnership marketing and activation strategy, principally leading and driving sponsorship-related activities and events that engage customers and employees and bring United's spirit, its products and services to life. This role is the main point of contact for several of our key, outstanding sponsored properties leading branding, fulfillment, activation and events supporting the sports, entertainment and lifestyle sponsorship portfolio, and ensuring United receives business-driving impact from our partnerships.

  • Oversee all aspects of day-to-day management of assigned partners within United’s sponsorship portfolio, including asset utilization, distribution and trafficking, and optimizing value to United from each partnership
  • Run the design, implementation and optimization of activation programs and platforms to ensure achievement of company business objectives, Sponsorship team priorities and customer and employee engagement goals
  • Collaboration with cross functional groups, including DEI, Employee Engagement/Recruiting, Loyalty and Marketing, Advertising and Social, to ensure well integrated initiatives and drive impact of partnerships, assets and opportunities across the organization
  • Perform critical administrative duties, including tracking and supervising results of each activation, adherence to budget, establishing and updating tracking documents for status, assets/hospitality distribution, etc, and leadership of junior team members

The salary for this position is $89,250 to $138,250, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, Journalism, or Communications or related field and/or equivalent relevant work experience
  • 4-8 years of client, agency or property experience, including sponsorship marketing
  • Principles of sponsorship-property management, execution and optimization
  • Oversight of marketing agencies and properties
  • Experience in executive communication, ability and confidence to engage with and offer counsel and recommendations to senior officers; competence to work with individuals at all levels within internal and external organizations
  • Drafting of creative briefs and points of view/evaluations on sponsorships or specific activities
  • Ability to synthesize extensive amounts of data in easily understood, short presentations
  • Ability to lead meetings and planning sessions effectively and efficiently
  • Organizational skills, detail orientation and reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
  • Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
