The Associate Security Operations Analyst role is a career role focused on the support and administration of dedicated security infrastructure as well as security configuration embedded in operating systems, applications and middleware. The analyst is responsible to support information and systems protections across networks, servers, desktops and cloud infrastructure. The Associate Security Operations Analyst will manage incidents and resolve problems related to information security configuration and will often execute moves, adds and changes to a diverse catalogue of information security tools and platforms.

- Maintain working knowledge of technical security configuration.
- Operate and maintain security infrastructure.
- Respond to events, threats, incidents, and policy non-compliance.
- Maintain documented operating procedures, execute operating procedures and utilize workflows and ticketing systems to request and document the fulfillment of work across the organization.
- Fulfill approved change requests and address incidents on a break/fix basis.
- Collect, analyze and report security metrics on a routine basis. Recommend changes and enhancements that improve security posture for the organization.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in a related discipline. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as 4 years' experience in a related field
- Prior internships or job exposure to infrastructure security software and support of security tools applied to networks, servers, endpoints and cloud security configuration. (1-2 Years)
- Demonstrated learning agility, willingness to proactively take on new experiences and then apply that learning to perform successfully in new situations.
- Progressive experience including customer support, maintenance and deployment of security tools and remediation of minor security incidents. (1-2 years)
- Proven track record as a member of or contributor to operational teams and processes, exceling at learning and managing multiple technologies.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
- Exposure to multiple security disciplines and technologies including Windows, Unix, Linux, data protections, endpoint controls, databases, wireless security and networking protocols, user access management, vulnerability management, patching tools, risk and compliance. (1-2 years)
- Proofpoint or other email security filter/tool (1-2 years)
Additional Optional Skills:
- GSEC, CompTia Security+, PCCSA, PCNSA, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA Security
- Knowledge of various programming languages such as Perl, HTML, Python
- Experience in Windows Server Administration
- Linux/Unix Operating Systems
- Cloud Infrastructure Management (VMware)
